BIGFOOT Pilot Experiment Days are August 30 and 31. UCSF researchers, selected from the pool of submitted PFCC Big Foot consult forms (send completed forms to [email protected]) will run pilot experiment samples with Dan Rose (~2 hr slot) on Bigfoot.

Interested parties should complete the Bigfoot Consult form (link above), to provide details of their proposed experiment and return it to flowassist.ucsf.edu. A focus group of respondents are being put on a short list for running pilot experiments as soon as forms are returned.

Bigfoot (PFCC Migo) droplet-in-air sorter, runs full spectrum or conventional analysis (9 laser options, use 7 at a time, 60 detectors), with sorting tested on 35 color panels. It has a self-contained BSC (good for primary human/clinical samples).

For those developing FS panels on the Aurora, Big Foot offers the potential to sort targets identified by those panels for downstream applications. It is designed for ease of use and simple workflow, sorting  up to 6-ways on the same sample, coupling full spectrum analysis capabilities with the unmatched speed and sorting throughput offered by this cutting-edge instrument.
